Coming to the end of the season, Swim amps it up

As we come in to the end of the season for Swim, the boys are still in the weight room grinding out training sessions before school.

Alongside the swim squad are the baseball players getting ready for the upcoming baseball season that starts in the next few weeks.

Eagle Girls Basketball Coach Crystal shares the importance of E-Grind sports performance program for her players

Working out with Coach Dixon in the off-season GRC E-Grind Sports Performance Training Program benefits the girls basketball program on so many levels.  It helps the players develop physical strength, gain mental toughness and build team camaraderie through accomplishing difficult challenges together.

Through the development of physical strength the players become more explosive on the court, better conditioned and able to play at high levels for longer periods of time, and they develop the ability to react quicker.  One of the other huge benefits of the workout is the emphasis Coach Dixon puts on injury prevention. The exercises he does he focuses on building strength and stability in all of the bodies joints.

Another key component of the workout is the focus on mental toughness.  The athletes are pushed to work together to accomplish tasks they never thought they were capable of accomplishing.  As the off-season continues players notice their ability to work harder for extended periods of time, and this pays off on the court in tough game situations.  It also benefits team chemistry because the athletes rely on each other to get through the difficult workouts. Once the season started we already had such a strong sense of community amongst the girls basketball program that was developed through the off-season workouts.

At the end of a hard workout the athletes all walk away smiling with a sense of accomplishment because of the work they put in and the way that Coach Dixon motivates each of them to be their best.

Our Eagle Ladies making us proud as true GRINDERS!

The success of our athletic program is due in large part to the drive and dedication of our GRC Eagle female athletes.  Our girls show up time and time again to put in the work so necessary to be successful in their particular sport.

The best part is in watching how they tirelessly support each each, no matter what sport they each play. They cheer each other on, and lean on each other as they support each other while lifting, running and through the endless training days.

Hard working and confident, our Lady Eagle make our GRC Sports Community proud, season after season!
